Atletico Madrid 1 Barcelona 1: Messi goes off injured in Spanish Super Cup as Neymar scores his first Barca goal... with a header!
Barcelona have confirmed Lionel Messi injured his left leg during Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
The Argentina star was replaced by Cesc Fabregas at half time in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
The Catalan giants said: 'Messi was substituted due to precaution for pain in the back of his left thigh caused by a knock.'

Barcelona's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta said Messi's injury appeared to be the result of bruising and the club confirmed on it's website that he would be having more tests on Thursday.
Messi had a minor muscle injury in his left leg last week but was cleared in time for Sunday's Spanish league opener and scored two goals in a 7-0 rout of Levante.
Meanwhile, frontman Neymar came off the bench to score his first competitive goal for Barcelona and rescue a 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid.

Former Barca frontman David Villa, who left the club for Atletico this summer, scored an exquisitely driven volley from the edge of the box on 12 minutes to put his new side ahead.
However, coming on as a 59th minute substitute, Neymar equalised for Barca seven minutes later as he ran in at the back post to head home a Dani Alves cross.

Sporting director Zubizarreta was shocked with the way Neymar finished his first goal and said: 'If they had told us what his first goal in an official game was going to be we would not have expected a header,'
'Neymar is a player of great quality and we will give him time to adapt,' he added.
The 21-year-old arrived in Spain this summer from Brazilian side Santos in a deal worth £48m.
In the two-legged showpiece that pits last term's league champions against the King's Cup winners, Barca and Atletico meet again next Wednesday at the Nou Camp stadium.
