Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has warned Arsenal that Michu and Ashley Williams are not for sale.
Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the pair, with strong suggestions emerging from the Emirates Stadium that he is considering a £35million move to land two of Swansea’s most important players.
Reports have indicated that one offer has already been made for Williams.
Hands off: Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has warned Arsenal that Ashley Williams and Michu aren't for sale
Adamant: Jenkins says no offer would be enough to tempt them into a sale
Liberty Stadium boss Michael Laudrup insisted not even a ‘ridiculous’ offer would be enough to land Michu at this stage in the transfer window, though he has kept more of an open mind about Williams throughout this summer.
Jenkins, however, is adamant that no offers have been made for either player and that bids are ‘not welcome’.
He said: ‘Nothing has changed. There has been no contact, as far as our football club is concerned, in connection with anybody. And we wouldn’t welcome any bids.
‘The overriding point from our football club is that we are not looking to sell any of our players and they are not up for sale.
‘We want to strengthen our squad, we feel we’ve done that and we continue to look forward to the season ahead. That has not changed.’
