Stars in their cars! Which motor is the most popular among Premier League footballers?

Expensive cars come with the territory of being a Premier League player. The status, the spending and the brash tinted windows are all part of the package.
But what is the most popular motor on the top flight circuit? Have Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez and Mesut Ozil all copied each other? And how many of them have been spotted in the Manchester suburb of Wilmslow?
Nuts magazine have done research throughout 2013 to give you the answers.

White Widow 'paid £1,200' for fake South African passports and 'worked with second British suspect in plotting Nairobi massacre

'White Widow' Samantha Lewthwaite paid £1,200 for three fake South African passports for herself and two of her children, a known fraudster has claimed.
Ehmed Chisty says he organised the documents for Lewthwaite, which she is suspected of using to set up home in Johannesburg.
Lewthwaite was named last week by Interpol as the world's most wanted women following the Nairobi mall massacre and it has now been claimed she may have worked with a second jihadist from Britain in plotting the attack.

Umar Arshad fled Britain six years ago and has now reportedly risen up the Al Qaeda ranks and has been named in connection with the Westgate atrocity.
Six Britons were among at least 67 people murdered by Al Shabaab terrorists at the upmarket mall.
Muslim convert Lewthwaite, 29, is the widow of 7/7 suicide bomber Jermaine Lindsay.
She fled her home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in 2009, and is on the run in East Africa.
Yesterday, a manager at a real estate company in northern Johannesburg said Lewthwaite had rented a home there between 2009 and 2010.
She used a fake passport under the name Natalie Faye Webb to apparently set up home in the country and weeks before the mall atrocity was allegedly spotted spying city on foreign embassies in the city.
Chisty, 60, who is currently serving a 37-year jail sentence for arranging thousands of fake documents, says Lewthwaite came to him for a forged passport.

The White House 'didn't spend much time over the past week planning for shutdown because they assumed it would be averted'

The White House never though the government would actually shut down and as a result West Wing officials hardly spent any time over the past week planning for it, an administration aide said.
It was only at the weekend after House Republicans decided to prolong their fight on health care and send a budget bill back to the Senate with a one-year delay in Obamacare, that the reality of the situation became apparent.
Congress has missed the deadline for averting the first partial government shutdown in 17 years at midnight on Monday.

The White House never though the government would actually shut down and as a result West Wing officials hardly spent any time over the past week planning for it, an administration aide said on Monday

As the clock struck midnight Monday, House Republicans were demanding that the Senate negotiate their demand for a one-year delay in making millions of people buy health insurance under President Barack Obama's 2010 health care law. Minutes before midnight, the White House ordered a shutdown.
The Democratic Senate on Monday twice rejected GOP demands to delay key portions of what has become to known as Obamacare as a condition for keeping the government open.
An estimated 800,000 federal workers faced furloughs though many were told work a half day Tuesday. Critical functions like air traffic control and military operations will continue. Social Security benefits will be paid. National parks and most federal offices will close.

Happy 53rd Independence Day Nigeria!

Hope you all have a great celebration. And please say a prayer for Nigeria today...God bless us all!

We thought it was going to be a three-horse race, but can the emergence of Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool make this the most exciting Premier League season ever?

e teams absent from recent title races sit top the Premier League table and could just be getting comfortable. Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have not troubled the shorter end of bookmakers’ odds for some seasons but there is a growing sense that money on the trio this year may not be misplaced.
Leading the way: Arsenal have won the most points so far in 2013
Leading the way: Arsenal have won the most points so far this calendar year
Their emergence promises to provide the most widely-run Premier League race in history with the Manchester neighbours and Chelsea expected get serious soon too.
Arsenal’s last title came in 2004 while it is 23 years since Liverpool claimed the last of their then-record 18 league crowns. Spurs have to look back to 1961 and their legendary manager Bill Nicholson for precedent.
The most recent proper challenge came in 2007-08 from Arsenal, who were three points clear in late February but fell away after a 2-2 draw at Birmingham saw Eduardo’s leg broken and William Gallas perform a centre-circle tantrum.
There are always a few anomalies in early season and the usual questions remain. But perhaps this year is different. Here’s why…

Managers

Arsenal – It is merely a month since Arsene Wenger was facing accusations he had lost his marbles down aisle seven of the transfer market but the last-minute splurge on Mesut Ozil and subsequent winning run has seen him reclaim his status as the Professor. There is assurance, rather than insouciance, about his public utterances now. While he may need to remember where he left the party poppers he has at least done it before – three times. A valuable asset.

ODDS TO WIN THE TITLE

9/4 Manchester City
3/1 Chelsea
9/2 Arsenal
7/1 Manchester United
8/1 Tottenham
8/1 Liverpool
Liverpool – Brendan Rodgers has trimmed his squad much like his body. Gone is the excess to reveal a lean machine intent on being taken seriously. He is moulding the club in his image with pleasing football and smart tactics. However, a Championship play-off trophy at Swansea cannot prepare him for the rigours of a run-in with the Premier League at stake. The scrutiny that comes might begin to feel a little alien and test that freshly-whitened smile.

Death toll rises to 78 in Yobe student attack

The death toll at the College of Agriculure, Gujba ,Yobe State has risen to 78. At least 50 of them were students who were attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning as they slept in their hostel. Some were shot, others were butchered with swords and knives. The gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram sect members later moved to houses around the hostel, killing residents they find. Then they blocked the Damaturu-Maiduguri road and killed travellers. So far, 78 bodies have been counted, with many more people still unaccounted for. A student of the college who survived the massacre explained what happened...
"They started gathering students into groups outside, then they opened fire and killed one group and then moved onto the next group and killed them. It was so terrible. They came with guns around 1a.m. and went directly to the male hostel and opened fire on them. The college is in the bush, so the other students were running around helplessly as guns went off and some of them were shot down.”
The gunmen stormed the hostels in two double-cabin pickup all-terrain vehicles and on motorcycles, and were dressed in military camouflage. They attacked 4 male hostels but avoided the only hostel reserved for girls. Swords and knives were used to kill at least 30 male students. Some corpses that were found were without heads while others had heads hanging to the bodies. Wailing parents and relatives were at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital mortuary in Damaturu this morning to identify their loved ones. This can't continue. This government has to do something about the situation.

Chisora to defend European heavyweight title on November 30 (and will be ringside for Klitschko's superfight with Povetkin)

Dereck Chisora is to defend his European heavyweight title on November 30 at The Copper Box Arena.
The Finchley-based fighter won the title at the same venue in the fifth round of a one-sided affair with Edmund Berber on September 21, over 21 months after many observers felt he had done so despite dropping a controversial split decision away to Finland's Robert Helenious in December 2011.
Chisora, who will be ringside for Wladimir Klitschko's WBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight title defence against Alexander Povetkin on Saturday in Moscow, said: 'This is the new Del Boy and this time I’m on the road to win the world heavyweight title.

'I love fighting at the Copper Box Arena and this is my new home. Whoever I have in front of me on November 30th is getting destroyed.'
The promising middleweight Billy Joe Saunders, incidentally, is to defend his British and Commonwealth titles, the first of which he hopes to win outright.
Saunders' close victory over the previously undefeated John Ryder was his second successful defence of his British title – three are needed to win a Lonsdale belt outright – and another win would represent the realisation of one of the traveller's long-term ambitions.

JAMIE CARRAGHER: Why I want us all to be Arsenal fans for a season

This view will not be popular at White Hart Lane. I don’t expect too many people will agree around Stamford Bridge, in Manchester or on Merseyside, either. But this season, we should all be Arsenal fans.
If they are successful, that will mean Arsene Wenger stays in the Premier League. And we need him to stay.
This man has had a profound impact on British football and the game here would be poorer without him.

Moyes: We were 'embarrassed' by derby thrashing, it was the worst day of my reign

David Moyes admitted that his Manchester United players were 'embarrassed' and 'hurt' by the 4-1 derby day defeat to Manchester City and he described the performance as United's worst of his tenure so far.
United were outfought and outplayed in every department at the Etihad Stadium last Sunday, as the pace and power of Manchester City saw Manuel Pellegrini's side overwhelm their closest neighbours.
'We returned from the Eithad last weekend embarrassed by the performance we put up against Manchester City,' Moyes told United Review. 'I had not seen that level of performance from our players in any of the games in pre-season or the competitive matches since.

'In fact, I've been more than pleased with some of our displays. There have been games where we've lacked goals and others where we've lacked creativity in making chances, but overall the team has looked solid.
'So for us to be four-nil down after 50 minutes was disappointing to say the least.'
The United boss shuffled his pack for the Capital One Cup clash with Liverpool midweek, making eight changes and restoring the likes of Jonny Evans, Ryan Giggs, Shinji Kagawa and Javier Hernandez to the first-team fold.
He was rewarded with a spirited United showing, as his team bounced back from derby disappointment to secure a 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford.

From Home Counties prom queen to world's most wanted woman: How the 'White Widow' was obsessed with Islam even as a schoolgirl

Samantha Lewthwaite was attending the end-of-year ball at her school in Aylesbury.
She dazzled, by all accounts, in a pink silk ballgown set off by a diamante tiara and matching gold earrings and necklace. ‘She looked fantastic that night,’ recalled one admirer.
The date was 2001. It was possibly the last time she received such a compliment. Shortly afterwards, at the age of 17, she converted to Islam and began wearing a jilbab, the long flowing robe that covers everything but the hands and face.
This is the story of what happened to her; how, in the space of little more than a decade, the glamorous young lady you see in the photograph became the world’s most wanted female terrorist, a chain of events that culminated in the Nairobi massacre where more than 60 civilians lost their lives.
We still do not know if Lewthwaite, 29, was the ‘white woman’ survivors say they saw with an AK-47 in one hand and a grenade in the other, or if she is among the dead hostage-takers.
British security officials have yet to receive confirmation from the Kenyan authorities of her role in the attack.
This week, Interpol issued an international arrest warrant, flagged with a high-priority ‘Red Notice’, for her in connection with a string of other terrorist outrages over the past two years across the Horn of Africa, where she is known as the ‘white sister’ or the ‘White Widow’.
What is indisputable is that she has blood on her hands. Lewthwaite, who was married to one of the 7/7 bombers, has already been identified as a main recruiter for Al Qaeda in East Africa and is an official spokesman for Al Shabaab, the terror group behind the Nairobi atrocity.
In the wake of 7/7, when her husband Jermaine Lindsay blew himself up along with 26 passengers on a Tube train near King’s Cross Station in London in 2005, she portrayed herself as another victim of the tragedy. ‘Abhorrent,’ she called it.
She had no knowledge, she said, of his murderous plans, and dreaded the day she would have to tell her own children ‘what their father did’.
How cynically empty these protestations of innocence seem now. For our inquiries in her home town of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire over the past week suggest the marriage of Samantha and Jermaine three years earlier was a union of two already poisoned minds.

Later, in the wake of 7/7, she even tried to radicalise her own family.
According to neighbours, her mother, from Irish Catholic stock, has been seen wearing a hijab — an Islamic scarf covering the head.
Yet, Samantha Lewthwaite’s upbringing, at least to begin with, could not have been a less likely breeding ground for anti-Western extremism.
She was born in 1983, the youngest of three children, in Banbridge, County Down. It says on her birth certificate that her father was a lorry driver.
He is also a former soldier, who served in Northern Ireland during the Seventies at the height of the Troubles. His regiment, the 9/12 Royal Lancers, was stationed in Omagh, close to the scene where the Real IRA slaughtered 29 people in 1998.
Lewthwaite, who came form second generation Irish-Catholic stock, married and Jamaican-born carpet fitter Lindsay Jermain when she was just 18

Could there be a more chilling betrayal of the family’s proud military past (Samantha Lewthwaite’s paternal grandfather was also in the Armed Forces) than the revelations emerging from Kenya about the ‘White Widow’ and her hate-filled Al Shabaab associates?
The Lewthwaites moved from Northern Ireland to Buckinghamshire in the early Nineties.
Aylesbury has a small but thriving Muslim community; the house where the young Samantha grew up was just half a mile from the mosque.
When she was 11, her parents split up, an event that left her devastated. In the aftermath, it seems she was drawn to the strong family ethic of the Muslims who lived around her.
Childhood friends remembered how she spent a couple of summers when she was 11 and 12 ‘hanging around’ with a mixed group of Muslim and white youngsters in the town’s Alfred Rose Memorial Park.
It was here that she developed a crush on a Muslim boy, three or four years older than her. Her feelings were not reciprocated.
‘She lived in an area with a lot of Muslims. I think that really influenced her,’ said a friend who knew her throughout her teenage years at the nearby Grange secondary school and into adulthood.
These early experiences developed into an obsession with Islam, an obsession that was witnessed first hand by that friend, who was also white and had a Muslim boyfriend.
That young woman became pregnant by him when she was 17, and they had a second child four years later. Her boyfriend later served time in prison. The two are no longer together and she spoke to the Mail on condition of anonymity.
The friend revealed how she and Samantha Lewthwaite attended gatherings where Muslim preachers would warn them to ‘stay away from kufars’ (non-Muslims).
‘She was always much better than me at learning Arabic and reciting the surahs [chapters of the Koran],’ said the friend.

‘She was really good at all the learning. Samantha was never embarrassed about anything like I was. If we were in the middle of town, she would just get on her knees and start praying. She was never into drugs or alcohol or anything like that, so she slipped into the Islamic way of doing things very easily.
‘At school, she had always faded into the background, but suddenly she started to take the lead and would organise talks about being a Muslim and give a lot of advice.’
When the friend converted to Islam, Lewthwaite quickly followed suit. ‘I think I influenced her,’ said the young woman, who is no longer a Muslim. ‘I was never a good Muslim. I only converted because I fell in love with a Muslim. It was different for Samantha. She got much more involved.’
Of the 2.7 million Muslims in Britain, an estimated 78,000 are converts, and about a third of that total are white women.
Not long after Lewthwaite’s conversion, in September, 2002 — a year after the 9/11 attacks in New York — she  enrolled on a degree course in politics and religions at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
She dropped out after two months.

Samantha Lewthwaite and Lindsay Jermaine married against her family's wishes in 2002 just weeks after meeting
Samantha Lewthwaite and Lindsay Jermaine married against her family's wishes in 2002 just weeks after meeting
A university spokesman said it is unlikely ‘that her time here had any influence on her beliefs’.  But SOAS has attracted controversy for giving a platform to Islamic extremists and, like many campuses in Britain, it is seen as a fertile recruiting ground for Islamic groups such as Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT), which encourages the radicalisation of young Muslims and has acted as a conduit  to more hardline organisations.
Of the 126 people convicted of terrorist activity in Britain between 1999 and 2009, more than a quarter had studied at a British university, according to a recent study.
Lewthwaite will now be added to that statistic, no matter how fleeting her time at SOAS.
It was during this time, in fact, that she met Jermaine Lindsay online, in an Islamic chatroom. The couple progressed to speaking on the phone and exchanging photographs.
They met face-to-face for the first time at a Stop The War march in London in 2002. Just weeks later, in October, the two were married by a Muslim elder. They adopted the names Asmantara and Jamal.
A childhood friend said Lewthwaite was never shy or embarassed about her conversion to Islam and prayed in the middle of the street in Aylesbury as a teenager

His West Indian mother was a Muslim. In fact, both she and her son had converted to Islam together; he was 15 when he converted and 17 when he married.
His 18-year-old bride, on the other hand, was not from such a background. Her own father, in particular, strongly disapproved of the relationship. None of her family was present at the wedding.

Oprah Winfrey says she'll leave this earth as a 'never married' woman

Billionaire talk show legend and actress Oprah Winfrey 59, has been dating Stedman Graham, 62, since 1986. That's 27 years - longer than a lot of marriages. Oprah said in an interview recently that although she considered marriage after she attended Tina Turner's wedding in Switzerland in July, she's pretty sure she will leave the world as a woman who 'never got married'

When asked if she would leave earth as a “never-married” woman, Oprah made her feelings very clear. “Yes,” she told Access Hollywood. “Yeah, I think that’s my final answer.”
“I think that it’s interesting that you would ask it because I thought about it again at Tina Turner’s wedding. Because Tina was like, ‘Oprah, you need to do this. You need to do it.’ I was just thinking, ‘Well, OK, would things really be different?’ And no, I don’t think so. If you ever interviewed him (Stedman), he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today, because he’s a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship.”
Oprah also explained that she couldn’t be a wife because the word holds responsibilities she doesn’t feel capable of handling.

The shots are recommended for those who suffer from tiredness, lethargy, feeling faint and becoming breathless as a result of the reduced amount of oxygen in the blood.
A lack of vitamin B12 is a common cause for anaemia, but many celebrities have started treating themselves with the injections including Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

Elizabeth Hurley wears lacy frock for a night out with designer Patrick Cox after an eventful day with Shane Warne and family

Elizabeth Hurley must have been desperate to let her hair down after the eventful morning she's had.
Only a few hours earlier she was spotted out at lunch with Shane Warne and his three children for the first time since their relationship was reported to be on the rocks.
But Liz, 48, looked to have put the memorable morning out of her mind and headed out with her good friend and shoe designer Patrick Cox on Monday evening.

The pair were seen leaving her West London home dressed in equally stylish ensembles for their night out.
Liz opted for a midnight blue lace gown, which she teamed with a pair of strappy tan heels and a beige clutch bag.
Her skin looked glowing and radiant whilst her long brunette locks were styled into loose waves for the evening.

Phoenix police Sgt Trent Crump said the Dempsey also lied about being pregnant and for the past five years has convinced her family she is dying of cancer when she is perfectly healthy. He said she even attempted to use the fake illness to avoid arrest last week.
'She used her cancer ploy to our detectives to try and stay out of trouble,' Crump told CBS5 News.

'She said this is the reason why she didn't engage in the sexual conduct because she was constantly ill from chemotherapy, all of which we learned in the following days, was not true.'
According to Azcentral.com, Dempsey used various names to lure the boys on Facebook. When they came to her home that she shares with her husband, she told the victims the property belonged to her aunt.
