Only a few hours earlier she was spotted out at lunch with Shane Warne and his three children for the first time since their relationship was reported to be on the rocks.
But Liz, 48, looked to have put the memorable morning out of her mind and headed out with her good friend and shoe designer Patrick Cox on Monday evening.

The pair were seen leaving her West London home dressed in equally stylish ensembles for their night out.
Liz opted for a midnight blue lace gown, which she teamed with a pair of strappy tan heels and a beige clutch bag.
Her skin looked glowing and radiant whilst her long brunette locks were styled into loose waves for the evening.

Patrick, 50, opted for a dark grey polo top, a black leather jack, a pair of chino pants and grey trainers.
His silver locks were cut short whilst his complexion looked healthy and sun-kissed beneath his stubble.
Liz wrote a message to her Twitter followers following her earlier lunch with the family stating: 'The great thing about reading fiction about oneself in the press is that it reinforces your faith & belief in your actual friends.'

Shane and Liz were spotted heading to lunch in London on Monday alongside Shane’s three children, Brooke, Summer and Jackson.
But while Elizabeth was very tactile with other members of the group, she kept her distance from the former cricketer and her engagement ring was noticeably still absent from her finger.

Walking towards their restaurant of choice - Santa Lucia off the Fulham Road - the group looked in high spirits despite the speculation surrounding the state of their relationship.
Chatting away to Shane’s three children – Summer, Brooke and Jackson from his former marriage to ex-wife Simone Callahan - Liz looked very comfortable.
The children, who were joined by Brooke's brunette friend Amy, also seemed happy to see her and embraced before they all made their way back to Liz’s London pad.

Their appearance comes as Shane's ex-wife Simone was seen out and about in her beachside suburb in Australia smiling, as one observer said, 'from ear to ear'.
It has been suggested that Mr Warne's continued friendship with the blonde was the real reason behind the differences that have erupted between him and Liz Hurley.
But claims in London suggest Miss Hurley has become fed up with waiting for Mr Warne to set a date for their wedding, which resulted in her removing her engagement ring.

'There are so many "ifs and whys" involving the couple that the truth of their separation seems to be a combination of all the whispers about them,' said a society watcher in Melbourne.
Australia's Woman's Day magazine, which in a front page story today under the heading 'Liz and Shane - The Ultimate Betrayal', recalls how Miss Callahan 'looked like the cat that got the cream' when she was seen laughing outside Mr Warne's Melbourne mansion last week.
However, other sources say the 48-year-old actress called off the couple's engagement because the Australian cricketer refused to confirm a 'definite date' for their nuptials after proposing back in September 2011.

A source told the Sun on Sunday: 'She kept pushing for a date but he was happy as things stood. She ended it furiously. She started to question whether Shane had any intention of marrying her.
'She feels let down. They had big, big plans. She really thought she had found the one in Shane. He could have easily saved the relationship by agreeing to a definite date.'
'She is devastated about the way things stand as she feels she has invested a lot in their relationship which was, until recently, heading towards the ultimate goal of marriage.'

Liz jetted back to London on Sunday following a recent trip to New York, and was still without her engagement ring.
But despite the apparent issues in their relationship, the 44-year-old former sportman is said to be determined to save the couple's relationship, with friends claiming the romance shouldn't be 'written off' just yet.
On Wednesday the couple sent mixed messages on Twitter in the wake of their alleged split.

While Elizabeth appeared to confirm she and the cricketer were no longer together by telling her followers that the events were 'too raw and personal to share right now', Warne seemed to directly contradict her by insisting that the pair hadn't 'thrown in the towel just yet'.
Shane wrote: 'Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish. Yes, we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet.'

Warne and ex-wife Simone split in 2005 amid allegations that the sportsman had been unfaithful.
However, just two years later, the pair gave their relationship another go after Simone decided to take him back.
Their split was later confirmed in 2010, when Shane debuted his romance with Elizabeth.
