Get ready for a fight! Jimmy Kimmel confirms Kanye West will appear on his show and claims their bust-up was 'not a set-up'

Jimmy Kimmel has confirmed that Kanye West will appear on his show on Wednesday.
Just last month, Jimmy revealed that he received an angry phone call from Kanye, after he failed to see the funny side of a skit aimed at the rapper.
'Tomorrow night my guest will be @kanyewest,' the 45-year-old Tweeted on Tuesday.

Adding: 'For real, yes and was it all a setup, no.'
The talk show host revealed on his show last month: 'Quick question: Did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Just me? OK, I didn’t know if he was mad at all of us.'

He went on to say: 'He told me I had two choices: apologise publicly … and that was really the only choice! The other choice he gave was that my life … "Your life is going to be much better if you apologize.’”

Jimmy - who feels the sketch was 'innocuous' - said that during the call, Kanye called himself the 'most powerful voice in media.'
But Kimmel was not intimidated and laughed: 'Finally I’m in a rap feud. Right now we’re at Def-Kanye Five: Thanks, Kanye, appreciate it.'
Kanye had already launched an extraordinary Twitter attack on Kimmel.

Meanwhile, Kanye has been re-tweeting support, notably from fashion blogger Jibril Durimel.
Durimel wrote: 'I’m really Against what Jimmy K. did with that parody, like Kanye said – Finally someone speaks some inspirational and real words that haven’t been exposed in a while and JK comes out with this.
'It’s simple, mediocre dreamers think this is humorous but all Kanye is pretty much saying in the interview is to dream to be the best.'
'Jimmy K. is the EVIL guy trying to keep people in a box and not want more out of themselves. He does this by making fun of real dreamers THE NEW ROCKSTARS! ;) No but really please think about what i’m saying.'
Music mogul Irving Azoff also chimed in, writing: 'Hey @jimmykimmel @kanyewest kicked your ass. You look like a joke trying to exploit this.'
In a no holds barred Twitter rant Kanye attacked 'out of line' Kimmel, calling him 'manipulative', insisting 'I don't take it as a joke', and attempting to rile him by adding 'your face looks crazy'.
The skit aired on Tuesday night's show was based on Kanye's remarkable interview with the BBC last week.
Titled Kanye Kid (Re)Kreation, the spoof saw two children act out the transcript from the interview as a 'modern take on the school play.'

In the interview Kanye revealed his opinions on everything from Lady Gaga to his opinion of himself as 'a God'.
The spoof infuriated West, who apparently took the comedy bit as an attack. He then took to Twitter to defend himself.
'Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the piece of honest media in years,' wrote West on Thursday afternoon.
'Jimmy Kimmel, I don't take it as a joke...you don't have scum bags hopping over fences trying to take pictures of your daughter.'

'apparently @KanyeWest is VERY VERY ANGRY with me....,' responded Kimmel.
A flurry of tweets occurred back and forth between to the media titans, as West began lashed out against Kimmel at neck-break speed as his tweets look a personal turn.
'You can't put yourself in my shoes. Your face looks crazy... Is that funny?... Or if I had a kid say it would it be funny???,' tweeted West.
'Should I do a spoof about your face or you f*****g Ben Affleck... #NoDisrespecttoBenAffleck #AllDisrespecttoJimmyKimmell!!!!,' continued the rapper.
Kimmel responded to West's tweets calmly, staying level headed and humorous throughout the attack.
The comedian even agreed with the hip-hop artist when he attempted to insult Kimmel by claiming that his ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman was funnier performer.

'I know! #WreckItRalph, right?,' responded Kimmel.
West then took to memes as he posted an image of Kimmel with the text 'No Good P***Y' scrawled across.

The fight took a strange turn when West tweeted a picture of SpongeBob Squarepants with the text: 'Jimmy Kimmel face motherrf*****.'
Kimmel responded: 'I swear, @kanyewest one more of these I WILL unfollow you #warning #Goshdarnit.'
And while Kanye's anger was certainly genuine, it was welcomed by Kimmel.
He later used the spat as material on Thursday night's show, reading out Kanye's tweets and joking: 'I don't understand it. I don't know why he's angry.
'But finally I'm in a rap feud! Right now we are at Def Kanye Five.'
Empty promises: 'I swear, @kanyewest one more of these I WILL unfollow you #warning #Goshdarnit,' warned Kimmel on Twitter

In response to the Twitter attack, Josh Groban decided to pipe in an offer a comedic look at the situation with a skit titled 'Josh Groban's the Best Tweets of Kanya West.'
In the bit, Groban uses his golden throat to sing classic West tweets such as 'Can we please toast to the m****rf******g douchebags' and 'Fur pillows are actually hard to sleep on.'
The fictional set offers '753 original songs on 48 CDs.'
Kimmel made the following promise to his followers: 'I'll tell you the whole story about @kanyewest tonight on the show - this is not a prank, I promise (unless it's being played on me).'

BEST QUOTES FROM KANYE WEST'S BBC RADIO 1 INTERVIEW

  • Look at Gaga, she’s the creative director of Polaroid. I like some of Gaga’s songs…what the f**k does she know about cameras.
  • I just told you who I thought I was! A God! I just told you! That's who I think I am!
  • If you are taught that you can’t do anything, you won’t do anything I was taught I can do everything. And I’m Kanye West at age 36. Just watch the next ten years.

Later on his show, Kimmel's monologue addressed the quarrel.
'He told me I had two choices: #1. Apologize publicly...and that was really the only choice,' said the talk show host.
He then read the tweets to the studio audience.
'Finally...I'm in a rap battle!,' said Kimmel.
